COCONUT BARFI

HAPPY 74th INDEPENDENCE DAY TO YOU ALL ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.

Made coconut laddoo and barfi with tiranga theme for this day. Itโ€™s super easy and no cooking required.

Colour is optional as you can go with plain white.

By mixing the dough roughly of three colours I made coconut marble laddoo too.

This recipe yields 15-16 pieces of barfi

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups desiccated coconut

1.5 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup condensed milk

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Few drops of odourless oil

Orange and green colour independence theme

few spoons of desiccated coconut for dusting

METHOD:

Line a tray with cling film and apply some odourless oil on the film. Keep aside.

Take all the ingredients in a bowl except colours and mix well using your hands. As soon you get all the ingredient together in a form of ball, divide the dough in 3 equal portions.

Leave 1 portion in its natural colour and mix orange in one and green in the second portion.

Now press the green portion first on your greased tray. Time for the second white portion to press and then the orange. Cover with the film.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Do not go for long .. will be difficult to slice evenly.

Now slice your barfi and dust with some desiccated coconut.
