Hi all,

Firstly… HAPPY VALENTINE DAY to all🤗

201712

As you know, I posted Pavlova few days back. My husband just said after a bite BEST CAKE EVER!!!! So thought to surprise him this valentine with the same sort of dessert.

Made perfect pavlovas, iced it with whipped cream and placed a litted pencil candle in the middle. It gave very very special and graphic effect to this romantic dessert. He just loved the way it was presented. What can I wish more??? HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE😇.

Also I decorated the table with edible rose bouquet which I made few days back🤗.

This recipe can be served to two persons.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

2 egg whites

1/2 cupcaster sugar or powdered sugar works too..I have used powdered sugar

1/2 tsp cream of tartar or lemon juice

1/2 tsp vinegar

1 tsp cornflour + 2-3 pinches extra

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

3-4 drops of red gel paste

1+ 1/2 cup whipped cream…. Add red gel paste to one cup and let the half cup be uncoloured.

METHOD:

Preheat oven at 220° c and line a 28 cm square baking tray with baking or parchment paper.

Take egg whites in a large bowl. Add cream of tartar. Using stand or hand mixer, beat at medium speed until frothy.

Add vinegar and cornflour and beat until you get soft peaks.

Now start adding powdered sugar a tbsp at a time and beat until stiff peaks you get. This takes around 4-5 minutes.

Now take the beater out. Add vanilla essence and red gel paste. Fold well.

Now glue the parchment paper on 4 corners and centre with the batter using your finger and stick them with the tray. This prevents the paper from shrinking or they don’t turn on your batter while baking.

Sprinkle 2-3 pinches of cornflour at the on the parchment paper. It makes your lifting the pavlova easier after it’s baked.

Take a heart mould. Just dip the base of it in batter and mark 5-6 hearts.

Take icing bag and put inside a rose nozzle. Fix it. Add a portion of the batter and roughly make hearts on your marked places you did with heart shaped marker. At the first swirl fill all middle part too. Give 3-4 turns on each leaving the middle portion blank of each hearts.

Now decrease the temperature to 100°c and bake for 50-60 minutes. You cannot do skewer test here to check whether it’s done or not … Hehe…but don’t worry. It is done by now. You can just touch the pavalovas and they should be dry by now.

Now switch off the oven and leave the pavlova to cool down completely in the oven itself. Keep the door of your oven slightly opened.

The door of my oven can stuck at any angles. But if your doesn’t, just use any kitchen prop to enable the door slightly opened. Leave in this position for 4-5 hours or overnight. So the best time to bake pavlova is evening or night.

Now after the resting period is over, take the tray out and carefully remove pavlova from the parchment paper and place on your serving dish.

Pile one on the other. Just make one serving with 2 sets of pavlovas.

With the same rose nozzle, cover your pavlovas in the heart shape with red coloured whipped cream. Fill the centre with white whipped cream. Place candle in the middle white part. Just lit them before serving.

I decorated the table with my edible rose bouquet ☺️.

Fantastic evening 😋!!!!

KEEP COOKING 👍🏻
