Hi all🙋🏻,

Yep.. M here again vid a mango-maniac recipe😄!!! MANGO PHIRNI 😋😋

Phirni is a very famous North Indian dessert. Crushed rice cooked in milk and flavoured with cardamom and saffron. For some fruit flavoured phirni, add the fruit pulp at the end which I did for this phirni. After all it’s aam ka season☺️!!

Now let’s come to the recipe which can be served to 6 people.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup washed uncooked rice

1 ltr full cream milk

1/2 cup sugar

Lumpfree pulp of 1 alphonso mango

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Few saffron strands

Some mixed dry fruits, saffron and waraq to garnish

METHOD:

First of all take milk in a saucepan. Give it a boil and let it boil in medium flame until the milk lessened by 1/2 of its original quantity.

Grind the rice coarsely in a mixer jar and add into the boiling milk. Give a stir and let it cook on the same flame. Keep stirring otherwise rice will stick to the bottom.

When the rice is half done, add sugar and saffron and give a fine stir and cook until the rice is cooked completely. Add cardamom powder and switch off the flame. Let it cool down for half an hour.

Now add the mango pulp and mix well.

Chill it in the refrigerator. At the time of serving, transfer the phirni into serving bowls. Spread some waraq on it.  Add few chopped dried fruits and  saffron on top.

Serve guests and urself too with this mango delight 😇!!

KEEP COOKING!!!
