Let us add some savouries too in this Christmas Season.
ONE POT MACARONI.. Many of you veterans must be making this too since long.. Same here. But today thought to post too. Must be helpful for those who don’t know that this pasta can be made too without pre boiling the raw macaronisss.
Infact if you add pasta while sautéing the veggies along sauce and cook until done, it is softest and cheesy ofcourse. It doesn’t get chewy at all even after cooling.
Now let’s grab the recipe which can fill up 2 tummies if served for dinner.
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp each of crushed garlic and green chillies.. Just simply pound in mortar and pestle.
1 large chopped onion
1 cup full of chopped bell peppers
1 large chopped carrot
2-3 tbsp of sweet corns
1/2 cup green peas
4 – 5 tbsp of pasta sauce
2 cups raw macaroni or elbow pasta
1.5 cups water to cook pasta.. You can adjust while cooking
1 slice of cheddar cheese … Be liberal about this😂.. Can add more for more cheesy pasta
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp of chilli flakes
Heat a non stick pan. Add oil. Let it gets heated. Add pounded chilly-garlic. Let it splutter for 3-4 seconds.
Now add onions. Let it get pink. Add bell peppers. Add sauce and sweet corns. Fry all for 30 seconds. You can see the oil on sides of the skillet.
After sprinkling salt, cover and cook pasta on medium high flame for 4-5 minutes. You can add water here if required.
When done, add cheese, chilly flakes and black pepper powder. Mix all carefully. Pasta should not break down. Here you can hear a spluttering sound as if something is getting fried. It means there is no water and pasta is getting fried in oil. Switch off the flame.
Serve hot !!!
