Dilli ke ram laddo!!!!
Whenever I visit Delhi, this is “have to eat” in my menu in Lajpat.
Now settled as in Pune, I get crazy for this and was desperate to get it’s recipe. Somehow I got the recipe and just was jinga la la☺️
RECIPE:
This recipe is for 4-5 servings.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup chana dal
1/2 cup moong dal
Chopped green chillies
Salt
Oil for frying
TO GARNISH:
Grated radish to garnish
Green and sweet chutney
Chaat masala (I have used homemade cumin powder because I don’t like chaat masala)
Red chilly flakes (optional)
METHOD:
Soak both the dals for 6-7 hours. Drain them and grind them them to fine paste by adding 3-4 tbsp of water.
Now whip the batter with a spoon for 10 minutes or mix it for 2-3 minutes with hand mixer. The purpose is to make it lighter and fluffy. It will become smooth and creamy. Add chopped green chillies and salt.
Heat oil in a skillet at medium flame. Make small baris from hand and drop carefully in oil. Fry till golden brown.
Do the plating now. Place ram laddoos in a place. Spread grated radish on it. Add red chutney and then green chutney. Sprinkle chaat masala and chilli flakes.
Have it garma garam and fire your mouth.😜
