Hi all,

Now this is a treat…..Guess what???? On the occasion of my own website launch!!!!!!! This is actually my dream come true. Thanks to all of you for showering your love and pouring your blessings unconditionally.

Let’s talk about the heading for which I am here. This blog is very simple and I thought to keep it sweet as it’s the first post after my site launch.

Paesh aka kheer…you all must be aware of. This is a rice pudding cooked in homemade condensed milk on low medium heat with added sugar and few traditional spices.

Sharing the recipe which can be served to 4-5 persons as a dessert.

INGREDIENTS:

1.5 ltrs full cream milk

2 fistful of very starchy rice…..I have used Indrayani…local rice grain of Maharashtra.

1/2 cup granulated sugar

6 whole cloves

4 green cardamoms

METHOD:

Take milk in a deep vessel. Give a boil at high and lower the flame at minimum. Boil for 15 more minutes.

By the time milk is getting condensed, clean your rice by washing it repeatedly with water until clear water you get to see.

Add sugar and continue boiling till it remains to 1 ltr. By this time it milk should appear caramelized and little reddish in colour.

Now add your washed rice, cloves and cardamoms. Stir well for a minute.

Let the rice be cooked by stirring at intervals.

Once the rice gets cooked completely, switch off the flame and let the paesh cool down.

Once cooled, transfer the vessel to the refrigerator and let it get chilled.

Serve chilled with garnished clove and cardamom.

ENJOY AND KEEP COOKING!!!!!!!!
